Durex Sex Positions: Exercise

Trying new things with your partner is one of the greatest things about sex: the thrill of discovering new sensations and being able to share them with someone in such an intimate way. Here are some suggestions for couples who aren’t afraid of getting a bit of a workout at the same time.

The Dolphin

Described in the Kama Sutra, the Dolphin requires a high level of flexibility, so a few stretches might be advised before taking this one on.

How to Do it:

Advantages:

Alternatively:
For when the head-rush gets a bit too much, the Deck Chair position provides the same obtuse angle of entry but with both your weights being firmly set on the bed. She lies on her back and he sits directly in front of her, with his legs laid flat on either side of her body. He then takes her legs and rests them on his chest whilst entering her, then leaning back to achieve the desired angles.

Can there be anything sexier than a position named after a medieval torture device? This position is not as physically challenging as The Dolphin, but it allows you to get a lot more athletic and will take some practice before you can slot it fluidly into your sex life. This position allows for G-Spot stimulation as the penis will be pushed up against the anterior vaginal wall, and the way that the two are locked together facilitates prolonged deep penetration.

How to Do it:
First, sit opposite each other on the bed. Then, she wraps her legs around his waist, drawing them tighter until she’s in a position where he can penetrate her. Both lean back and he swings his leg over her waist, his foot resting on his other thigh. He rests on his elbow for balance and to anchor momentum.

Advantages:

Alternatively:
She sits on a surface at about waist height and spreads her legs for him to enter her. Once he is in, she wraps her legs around his waist, tight so her heels meet between the backs of his thighs. This position is more straightforward, and feels a bit less like origami, but still has that prolonged, deep penetration. Having his feet on the ground allows for fast, energetic sex.
