Does your summer needs a little sexing up? Then try our top tips:

Find time for romance – whether it’s a holiday, daytrip, or even an hour alone enjoying a drink on your patio, summer is the ideal chance to make time for each other and forget everyday life. Research has shown that getting back to nature improves your sex life so use the warmer weather as an excuse to try something new and explore meadows and woodlands and reconnect with each other. Summer is all about getting carried away and going with the flow, so bring that sense of freedom back inside… just remember the condoms.

One of the easiest things to do when it gets too hot is to move things into the shower, where you can control the temperature (remember that putting on a condom is much easier before you get wet). You could also try cooling things down by sucking a mint before kissing and licking your partner, as the menthol will give them a chilly treat, or tracing an ice cube across their body to contrast with the heat of the day.

When it comes to positions, to stay cool as things heat up you need to minimize skin-on-skin contact. So try woman-on-top (such as the cowgirl) or rear entry (such as doggy style) to keep things hot and steamy, rather than sweaty and clammy.
