1 Drive-in movie

In the summer, I always choose drive-ins over indoor movie theaters. I find drive-ins cozier. You can really get comfortable, and even talk during the movie if you want. It’s a great way to get to know each other in a completely different atmosphere. And if you’re having a good time, there’s no rush: drive-ins usually show two movies in a row. A perfect evening!

2 Visit a museum

Cities are sure to have museums where you can find a cool exhibition. A day at the museum with someone you’re wooing can be a nice change of pace, and surprisingly romantic. Whether it’s to see classic works of art or to experience interesting new installations, a museum visit is always worthwhile.
To heighten the fun, buy a disposable camera at a drugstore so you can to capture the day’s most memorable moments. Who knows? The pics you snap may end up being worth their weight in gold someday!

3 Go out for ice cream

This is probably my favourite date idea. Bringing your date to your favourite ice cream shop is super fun (and very sweet)! Afterwards, you can take a nice walk and get to know each other better. Perfect for a nice summer day. And if it isn’t clicking with your date, it’s an activity that doesn’t have to take a lot of time (definitely a plus)!

4 Watch a sunset

Who doesn’t like to enjoy a beautiful sunset? Plan an early-evening picnic in a scenic spot where you can watch the sunset. It’s a tranquil activity that can lead to some great conversations. The perfect way to get to know someone better!

5 Visit a spa or pool

It may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of a first date, but a trip to a spa to relax and unwind can lead to some truly magical moments.
