Tips to help you have the sexiest summer

In order to make sure your summer is as hot as can be, physically and otherwise, we’re shedding some light on questions that could arise when creating your steamy plans.

We’ll start by answering a few general condom/lube related questions, then recommend a couple hot Durex products that could beam you up on those hot days and nights spent with your partner(s).

Before we begin, it’s a good idea to refer to the 4 Myths About Condoms That Just Aren’t True for more clarity on how to have safe and pleasurable sex.

1. Can I bring condoms on a plane?

We get it, airport security can be a pain in the butt – and not the good kind of pain that can come from pleasurable anal sex.

Some people might be wondering, “can we carry condoms on international flights?”, and, the short of it is, you absolutely can!

We recommend taking as many as you need, along with your other baggage, as there’s no clear limits on carrying condoms when flying. And they’re A-OK to pack inside the box they come in or as individually wrapped packets.

However, it’s ideal to know how to pack them properly to ensure no damage caused when they land…

2. How can I pack my condoms safely for a flight?

A person packs a suitcase with a package of Durex Mutual Climax condoms on top.

It’s best practice to take condoms on a plane in your carry-on luggage or personal handbag, as they’ll be on you at all times and won’t run the risk of being tossed around with your checked luggage.

If you choose to pack your condoms in your checked luggage, make sure they’re far away from any sharper objects that could cause a tear to the box or wrapper (such as jewelry, keys, etc.). The probabilities of this happening aren’t very likely, but they’re still possible.

3. Can I keep condoms in the sun?

Sun out, condoms in!

Condoms are best kept in a cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Even when traveling, it’s best to store your condoms in cool, dry places (such as a bedside drawer or inside your luggage).

Since we’ve already covered if you are allowed to bring condoms on a plane, let’s not leave out a condom’s good friend: lubricant!

When planning your summer trip, it’s worth it to know that your lubes are able to travel with you on commercial airplanes – just as long as they’re transported in containers no larger than 100 mL/3.4 ounces in carry-on bags.

Luckily, Durex® Intense Orgasmic Gel comes in 10mL and is fragrance free – a packing essential to bring sensual waves of warming, cooling and tingling sensations to you and your partner(s).

Our Durex Real Free Pleasure Gel, Durex Play Passion Cherry, Durex Play Warming, Durex Play Tingling, and Durex Play More lubricants are also all 100mL – making them easy to pack in your carry-on bag.

You can pack lube over 100mL/3.4 ounces in your checked baggage. Click here for the full list of our Durex lubricants.

You may be asked to transfer your bottled lube in a plastic bag at the airport if it applies.

5. Can I bring sex toys on a plane?
